Meet Iesha of LivingLesh

I’m Iesha aka Lesh – a little nickname given to me by some of my fabulous friends. I am a petite woman, wife, and mother with a love of luxury fashion and style and creating a luxurious lifestyle through travel.

What is your blog about?

LivingLesh is a Philly based petite fashion and luxury lifestyle blog aiming to give inspiration to women who want to be the IT GIRL without spending hundreds of dollars on one outfit. My blog focuses on creating luxury looks and having luxury experiences by still staying within your budget.

What does travel mean to you?

Travel means discovery and connecting. When I travel, I find pleasure in discovering new things about each location and its culture. By learning more about the culture, it gives us the ability to connect with others around the world.

Where are you from?

I am from Philadelphia – the city of brotherly love.

How and why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I always had the love to write and share experiences. My blog originally started as a part of my master’s thesis project, but then I took ahold of it and intertwined my love for writing with my love for fashion, and thus, LivingLesh was born.

What has been your favorite trip?

My favorite trip in my entire time traveling was my summer education trip to London. I never covered it on my blog because it was before the time that LivingLesh existed, but I loved how London had representation of many cultures through food and various experiences. Also, while I was there during those three weeks, Prince George was born. And to see London celebrate the birth of the new royal was an experience that can’t even be put into words.

What was your favorite travel moment?

My favorite travel moment was during my second trip to the Bahamas on a cruise. We were able to take a Jeep tour around the island and experience some of the island’s various caves and other wonders. It was great to be able to go off-road and see parts of the island that you wouldn’t see if you just stayed on resort.

What advice would you give to others who are just starting their blog?

For someone who is just starting their blog, I would tell them to not compare themselves to others. The measure of your success is not dependent upon how you compare to other bloggers. If you are making goals and reaching them, then you are successful. Your followers along with brands will come to you because of who you are.
